Middle School

LuHi’s “Exploratory” Program is a unique part of the LuHi middle school experience.

Exploratories are non-graded electives that are created based on student-teacher interests.  Exploratories can be either educational, athletic, or based on a hobby/interest. Each exploratory course lasts one “cycle” which is approximately 5 1/2 weeks in duration. At the conclusion of an exploratory cycle, students are given a new list of exploratory options.

Some popular past exploratory options include:

  • Cheerleading
  • Creative Crafts
  • Dog Lovers
  • Drawing and Sketching

  • Kitchen Chemistry
  • Knitting and Crochet
  • Lego Structure and Design
  • Lights, Camera, Action
