Campus Development

LuHI’s Board, administration, and staff believe vision and planning are the keys to a strong program for our students and enduring success. Therefore, leadership is constantly working to improve programs and facilities for our students. In February of 2020, we completed a 5-year strategic plan followed by the completion of a campus master planning process in January 2021.

All plans and future goals focus on our school’s vision as a family in Christ, developing compassionate, educated leaders for the future and our core values of Christian Love, Excellence, Family and Community. These reflect an emphasis on knowing and sharing God’s love, reaching individual potential, as well as a strong community and feeling of family which is prevalent throughout the LuHi experience

Our beautiful 32-acre campus in Brookville was originally a Gold Coast-era estate, discovered by founding fathers in the late 1950s. Continued development of the Brookville campus has enriched the learning environment with additional classroom wings, two large gymnasiums, a chapel/performing arts center, dining hall and ministry center, renovated library and media services, a performing arts wing, fitness center, and turf field for outdoor sports.

Capital additions have been possible due to substantial support from thousands of LuHi Family members through a series of comprehensive campaigns. Parents, alumni, and friends of the school support enhancements in academics, athletics, the arts, and spiritual life through comprehensive campaigns. These campaigns also support ongoing renovations to the campus, most recently to our science laboratories, the Visscher Gymnasium, and the Hahn Center.
Efforts are also made to continually and significantly increase the school’s endowment through planned gifts, securing the school’s future and providing important funding for financial aid and scholarships.

Shine, our recent 5-year strategic plan, coupled with a long – range campus master plan, has initiated transformational forward movement. Currently in the design phase of work that will create inspired spaces for engaging education, advancement work has begun to engage our community in funding the largest project in the school’s history. The LuHi family looks forward to fresh and innovative renovations, indoors and outdoors, beginning in the summer of 2023.
