Meal Packing Event

Long Island Lutheran hosted its first annual Meal Packing Event in 2011. Every year, over the course of three days, students, faculty and staff, along with the help of local schools, community groups and our association congregations pack about 300,000 meals for Long Island Food Pantries, the Andrew Grene School in Haiti and other countries with food insecurity.

Students receive much more than they give by participating in projects such as these, and at LuHi we aim to offer students not only excellent academic and social experiences but also with service learning experiences that will shape them into responsible global citizens.

The 2019 Meal Packing Event will take place on Sunday, April 7 - Tuesday, April 9. For further information, you will find the LuHi Meal Packing Brochure, Information Sheet and Registration Form on this page. Contact if you have any other questions.
