How Music Helps: Self, Others, and In Action

How Music Helps is designed to introduce students to music in health and provide musical experiences that foster exploration of how music can help Self, Others, and In Action. Block 3 is designed to give students the unique opportunity to experience first-hand how music helps in action. Students will participate in community music groups as group members where they will also be encouraged to lead musical experiences to their peers (weekly), and if applicable, members of the outside community (biweekly via Zoom). (Outside community members may include individuals from group homes, those with special needs, etc.) Students will be able to connect with their peers, as well as other community members, by working collaboratively to help themselves and others through music-making.
