Football Captures First-Ever League Championship

On Saturday, November 2, the LuHi Crusader Football team captured its first-ever league championship. They defeated Hopkins (CT) 13-12 to take home the Metropolitan Independent Football League crown. While past Crusader football teams may have been equally as talented, the school’s independent status prevented them from participating in a postseason. Now, as members of a league made up of independent schools, the Crusader earned their way into the championship game, and finished the season 8-1. Congrats to the players and coaches on great season!
