At the first major event of the 2019-2020 FIRST Tech Challenge season Skystone, over 30 teams took over LuHi's Visscher Gym on Saturday, December 7 and Sunday, December 8. The teams represented public schools, private schools, organizations like the Girl Scouts, and home teams. Over the course of the 2 day scrimmage, the teams were able to practice and build together while working through some early season kinks and glitches. The event motivated everyone to see how far they can push themselves and their robot for the upcoming qualifiers in January and February of the new year.
According to LuHi Robotics coach, Mr. Harold Kennedy, "This is a bookend year for us with our current seniors being the last remaining students from our original rookie season. The competition looks strong and we are going to do our best this year! Our most important step is our next step and we are going to have to wait and see where that takes us."
