PS I Love You Day Focuses on Kindness

On February 14th, LuHi participated in PS I Love You Day and focused on spreading love to those around them
On February 14th, 2020, LuHi joined with 227 others schools and universities in the celebration of PS I Love You Day. PS I Love You Day is held the second Friday in February each year. It is a day to focus on spreading kindness, love, and positivity. According the PS I Love You website: " We hope that you hear nothing but positive messages that make you feel special, loved, and remind you, that you are never alone."

To celebrate, LuHi students had the opportunity to purchase a NUT (No Uniform Today) day, and to wear purple - the official color of PS I Love You day. There were also several large purple hearts around campus, covered with sticky notes that offered encouraging messages, including "You Got This" "You are Not Alone" and "You are LOVED". Students were encouraged to "give one, get one" - to write an encouraging message and share with a peer, or to take a message that offered encouragement to them. The funds raised by the NUT day will be split between the PS I Love You organization and a fund at LuHi that will support opportunities to continue to spread kindness throughout the year!
