Preparing Students for Social Media Landmines

LuHi students learned about staying stafe on social media and making responsible choices.
On Monday, February 24, LuHi hosted Robert Hackenson Jr. for a series of assemblies and presentations to student and parents. The topic of the assemblies was "Social Media Landmines." Robert considers himself an "edutainer", and his presentation was both informative and engaging. Using humor, magic, and relevant information, Robert spoke to students about being safe and responsible when using social media. In addition, he encouraged students to limit their time on the platforms and engage in real connection and conversation.

The Middle and High school students had two separate assemblies, and Robert also provided a parent presentation in the evening. To follow-up on these assemblies, Mrs. Raba and Mrs. Callahan will host a "Coffee with the Principals" discussion group on Friday, February 28th. This session will allow parents to further discuss these topics and share ideas with one another.

Thank you to Robert Hackenson Jr. for sharing such important information with our LuHi community. For more information about Robert, please visit
