Spirit Week and Retreats - 2020 style

Our Student Government officers were elected this past spring, and under their leadership, we held a modified Spirit Week. Students were encouraged to dress up daily for theme days like Character Day, Pajama Day, and School Colors Day. Throughout the week, grade levels also nominated and voted for their class representatives, who were announced at the end of the culminating chapel service. The school year theme, We Are One, supported the entire week.

In addition, during Spirit Week, our students participated in on-campus retreat experiences led by our Campus Pastors, Adam Schoepflin and Tony Colangelo, and supported by our faculty. The retreat experiences involved students in shared worship experiences, class-wide Kahoot games, a letter-writing campaign for the Bristal Assisted Living communities, signing of grade level bulletin boards, and more. In addition, each student created their own square for a full-school quilt. At the culmination of the week, the seniors assembled the quilt as a physical representation of our school-year theme We are One. We look forward to the possibility of a spring retreat experience, where students can continue to connect with their classmates as they worship and share experiences.
