    Long Island Lutheran was pleased to present the 2019 Alumni of the Year Awards at a special Chapel service in April. This annual award recognizes those who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievements, commitment to their churches and communities, and continued involvement at LuHi. This year’s honorees were Rishawd Watson (‘00), Cathy Vollono (‘81) and Amy Rath (‘81)  The celebrated alumni were introduced to the student body and each spoke about their experience at LuHi and what this school has meant to them.

    Diploma Program Focuses on College-Level Research, Collaboration, and Presentation Skills Crucial for College and Career Success
    LuHi is one of approximately 1,800 schools worldwide to implement the AP Capstone Diploma programan innovative program that allows students to develop the skills that matter most for college success, such as research, collaboration, and communication. The program consists of two courses taken in sequence: AP® Seminar and AP Research.
