Long Island Lutheran Middle & High School: A private Christian school serving grades 6-12
5 Things to Know about Our Middle School Curriculum
List of 5 items.
Our courses intentionally balance real-world learning with skill development to prepared students for an ever-changing world.
We believe our students can engage in challenging learning. For example, they study Shakespeare’s work and write a cohesive position paper each year, beginning in 6th grade.
6th grade is thoughtfully designed as a bridge from elementary to middle school, with interdisciplinary blocks and fewer transitions each day. 7th grade marks the beginning of a fully departmentalized approach.
Our connection to a full high school allows Middle School students to take advanced Math, Science, and World Language classes as appropriate.
Beyond Boundaries, our week-long project-based learning experience where students participate in mini-courses based on their interests, is a hallmark of the LuHi Academic Program.
