Celebrating the Class of 2026: A Month of Milestones and Memories

May was a month to remember for the Class of 2026, filled with meaningful traditions, joyful celebrations, and lasting memories as they prepared to close this chapter of their LuHi journey.

The festivities began on May 1 with College Commitment Day, a milestone moment where seniors proudly shared their next steps and celebrated the hard work that brought them there. From that point on, the momentum of celebration carried throughout the entire month.

Beloved traditions continued with the distribution of senior yard signs, a visible reminder of the accomplishments of this special class across our community. Soon after, students embarked on their Senior Trip, creating unforgettable memories together during one of their final shared experiences as a class.

Back on campus, the Class of 2026 gathered for Convocation Chapel and the Communion Lunch, both offering time for reflection, gratitude, and connection. These moments provided space to pause and appreciate their journey, their friendships, and the community that has supported them along the way.

The excitement carried into Prom, where students celebrated in style, marking another milestone moment in their senior year. As the final week of school arrived, emotions ran high as students prepared to say goodbye to familiar routines and spaces.

The last day of school was a true celebration from beginning to end. Seniors started their morning with a special breakfast, sharing laughs and memories while signing yearbooks. A favorite tradition continued as students signed one another’s LuHi uniform shirts, creating keepsakes filled with messages they will carry with them long after graduation. A visit from Mr. Softee during lunch added a fun and nostalgic touch to the day.

The celebration concluded with the heartfelt Senior Clap-Out and Send-off Chapel, as underclassmen, faculty, and staff lined the halls to cheer on the Class of 2026 one final time. It was a powerful send-off, honoring their impact and the legacy they leave behind.

The Class of 2026 has made its mark on LuHi in countless ways, and their presence will be deeply missed. As they prepare to take their next steps beyond these halls, we are filled with pride and anticipation for all that lies ahead.

We cannot wait to see the Class of 2026 walk across the stage at graduation tomorrow!
