Arts at LuHi
The mission of the Fine Arts Department is to promote artistic self-development in a respectful environment. This is encouraged through the emphasis on creativity and the mastery of skills, while at the same time recognizing the abilities of the individual student. Through courses in Visual Arts, Music (Band, Orchestra, Chorus) and Dance, students are able to use their gifts and talents for self expression, critical thinking and creative problem solving.
Students can choose from Band, Orchestra, Choir, or Dance. Twice a year, the Performing Arts groups have formal performances: The Christmas Concerts in December, and the Fine Arts Festival in May.
The Visual Arts Department promotes artistic self-development through the emphasis of creativity and mastery of skills. Students choose from a broad range of course offerings, and can choose an Art Lab capstone experience to create a senior portfolio.
LuHi Theatre is one of our most robust and engaging co-curricular offerings, with two major performances each year. In addition, we offer a Theatre elective for our High School students.
