Beyond Boundaries is an opportunity for students to step outside the confines of the classroom and traditional curriculum as they explore passions, discover new interests, and develop skills for the future – all while engaging in authentic learning. Modeled after the “January term” concept found in many colleges and universities, Beyond Boundaries has been an extremely valuable and memorable aspect of a LuHi education since it began in 2014.
All middle and high school students participate in 2 mini courses over the course of the Beyond Boundaries week. Some examples of past courses include Into the Wild, Adulting 101, Popcorn and Salsa, Living the Lego Life, M&M’s in Minecraft, Flea Market Flip, and World Drumming.
