LuHi Seniors Celebrate College Commitment Day

College Commitment Day is a special day for high school seniors, marking the moment when they publicly declare their college of choice. On this day, students proudly wear their college t-shirts, take photos with their classmates, and celebrate their future plans. At LuHi, the class of 2023 came together for a memorable College Commitment Day on Monday, May 1, gathering by the mansion steps for a class photo and a celebration during Advisory.

The event was filled with excitement and anticipation, as students revealed their college decisions to their peers and teachers. LuHi’s seniors will be attending prestigious institutions across the country, such as NYU, the University of Chicago, Hofstra, Morehouse, Johns Hopkins and the University of Tennessee,. The diverse range of colleges that the students have chosen is a testament to their hard work and dedication, and the support they received from the school counseling team and the LuHi teachers.

To mark the occasion, the counseling team also handed out eclairs to the students, playing on the word “declare” and adding a sweet touch to the day’s festivities. The treats were a delicious way to celebrate the students’ commitment to their chosen schools and acknowledge the hard work they put in to get there.

College Commitment Day is an important milestone for high school seniors, and LuHi’s class of 2023 made the most of it. As they prepare to embark on the next chapter of their lives, they can take pride in their achievements and the strong sense of community they built at LuHi.
