What I love about my role: In my current role, I am blessed to get to meet/greet every kid (and potentially every parent) each day as they arrive to school. I’ve also been fortunate enough to serve as a coach of the Middle School/Modified football for many years, and serve as Varsity Football team medic/manager. I’m also the resident emergency first responder.
Hobbies/Interests: I’m a 30+year volunteer Firefighter/EMT (Jericho FD) and past Chief of Department; I serve as a tenor in our Church Choir (Trinity-Hicksville) and am an occasional soloist; I enjoy home brewing (founder and brewmaster of “High Pool Brewing”) and love cooking both the “standards” and experimenting with new things/recipes.
Family: Married to Jane (LuHi’s Head of Advancement); three sons (all LuHi alumni); my boys each have a wonderful significant other; I’m also the proud “Pop” to grandsons Jack and Beau.
Awards: 2006 recipient of the Randy Abbe Christian Service award
Why I love LuHi: I am blessed to serve God here! “Love in truth and action…” LuHi unashamedly puts God’s love for us in Christ Jesus out front, and all the people that we call the “LuHi Family” shows that in all that they do (core values = Christian love, community, family and excellence).
