A New School Year, A Renewed Spirit
Today, the LuHi community came together for the first chapel of the 2025–26 school year, a time of worship, reflection, and connection. For our seniors, it was a meaningful “last first chapel,” while for new students, it was their first experience of this special tradition. For everyone, it was a fresh beginning.
This year’s chapel theme is “Transformed,” drawn from Romans 12:2-8. The verse reminds us: “Do not be conformed to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”
As the new school year unfolds, change is everywhere – new classes, new friendships, new challenges. Change can be exciting, but it can also feel overwhelming. Paul’s words remind us that transformation is always happening, and we have a choice in what shapes that change. Will it be the world around us, or will it be Jesus?

We were reminded that change can take place in many areas of our lives – mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. While it can feel intimidating, we never face it alone. God is always at work, shaping us, renewing our minds, and making us more like Him. And as a community, we are called to support one another: to serve, encourage, and build each other up.
The first chapel closed with this truth: change is inevitable, but transformation in Christ leads us to a joyful, hopeful, and purposeful way of life. As we begin this school year, we do so together, ready to be transformed.
