LuHi’s Annual Meal Packing Event Packs 162,192 Meals

From March 8–10, LuHi came together for our annual Meal Packing Event, our largest service initiative of the year. In partnership with Meals from the Heart, our gymnasium once again transformed into a bustling meal packing factory filled with energy, teamwork, and purpose.

Each grade level participated on their assigned day, taking on roles that included measuring ingredients, sealing packages, and packing boxes. Students, faculty, and volunteers worked side by side, all united in the mission to make a difference in the lives of those facing food insecurity. This year, together, we packed 162,192 meals, providing nourishment and hope to countless individuals and families in need.

What makes this event truly special is seeing students in each grade level collaborate with each other. The atmosphere is always full of laughter, encouragement, and a shared sense of purpose. It’s a powerful reminder that even small actions, when combined, can make a big impact.

We are deeply grateful to everyone who participated, from those on the assembly line to those supporting behind the scenes. The Meal Packing Event is more than just a service project; it’s a celebration of our LuHi community coming together to live out our values and serve others.

We can’t wait to continue this tradition and see how much more we can accomplish in the years ahead.
