Reflecting on Spring Retreats 2025: Faith, Friendship, and Fun

Spring 2025 marked the culmination of LuHi’s 2024–25 retreat program—a cornerstone of the student experience that provides opportunities for reflection, connection, and growth at every grade level. As the school year came to a close, our 8th and 11th-grade students participated in meaningful retreat experiences designed to celebrate milestones, deepen friendships, and strengthen faith.

The 8th grade class of 2029 took part in the beloved tradition of traveling to Rocking Horse Dude Ranch. This three-day, two-night retreat is a long-standing favorite among students and faculty alike, offering the perfect blend of celebration and reflection as students transition from middle school to high school. From horseback riding and fishing to spending time on the lake and shared meals, every moment at the Dude Ranch focused on building community and creating lasting memories. The retreat served as a joyful sendoff to middle school, filled with laughter, team-building, and spiritual growth.

Meanwhile, our junior class embarked on a high-energy, high-impact day retreat to The Adventure Park. Nestled in the trees, students navigated ropes courses and ziplines that challenged their confidence and teamwork. With each new level of difficulty, students encouraged one another, faced fears, and embraced opportunities for personal growth. This retreat not only strengthened peer connections but also served as a valuable moment of pause before the busy college application season begins.

As we look back on this spring’s retreats, we are reminded of the power of stepping away from the classroom to connect with each other, and God. Whether through treetop adventures or time on the lake, these experiences continue to shape our students in profound and lasting ways.
