Student Spotlight: Joshua ’25, National Merit Commended Student
We are thrilled to celebrate Joshua ’25, who has been named a Commended Student in the 2026 National Merit Scholarship Program! This prestigious recognition places Joshua among the top students nationwide, highlighting his exceptional academic promise.
Each year, thousands of students across the country take the PSAT as part of the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying process. Joshua’s outstanding performance placed him among the top 50,000 students out of tens of thousands of participants, earning him this distinguished honor. While Commended Students do not continue in the competition for National Merit Scholarships, this recognition is a testament to their dedication, hard work, and potential for future academic success.
A spokesperson from the National Merit Scholarship Corporation noted, “Those being named Commended Students have demonstrated outstanding potential for academic success. These students represent a valuable national resource; recognizing their accomplishments, as well as the key role their schools play in their academic development, is vital to the advancement of educational excellence in our nation.”
