Welcome Coach Tae Kim and Coach Pedro Bottene to LuHi Soccer

We are excited to officially welcome Tae Yun Kim as our new Head Coach of the LuHi Soccer program, along with Pedro Bottene, who will serve as Assistant Coach. While the program is still building its foundation, we believe these two leaders bring the energy, experience, and vision to take LuHi Soccer to the next level.

Coach Tae comes to us with a rich background in both playing and coaching. A former member of F.C. Internazionale’s U17 squad, Tae continued his playing career at Syracuse University before turning his focus to coaching. His journey has taken him through Corcoran High School, A.S. Wolves in Syracuse, and most recently Soccer Space New York—an innovative platform dedicated to developing the next generation of soccer talent in New York City. His experience on both sides of the game gives him a unique perspective on what it takes to build a program rooted in both player development and long-term growth.

Coach Pedro brings his own impressive resume and international experience to LuHi. A Brazilian American who grew up in Detroit, Pedro rose through the Barça Residency Academy before becoming one of the youngest goal scorers in USL League Two with Reading United. His career path has taken him through Spain’s competitive academy system, NCAA Division II powerhouse Saginaw Valley State (where he helped lead an undefeated season and Sweet 16 run), and now New York University. Alongside his playing career, Pedro has served as an Assistant Coach with Soccer Space New York, where he has worked hands-on in developing young talent.

Together, Tae and Pedro represent the future of LuHi Soccer. While the program is in its early stages, their combined experience, passion, and commitment to growth make this an exciting new chapter. We look forward to watching them guide our athletes on and off the field, as we continue building a culture of excellence in the years to come.
