8th Grade Retreat at Rocking Horse Ranch: A Memorable Send-Off to High School

Our 8th graders recently enjoyed a beloved LuHi tradition—the annual retreat to Rocking Horse Ranch! This three-day, two-night getaway served as a meaningful and memorable celebration, marking the end of their middle school journey and the beginning of their high school adventure.

Set against the scenic backdrop of Rocking Horse Ranch, the retreat offered students a chance to step away from their daily routines and connect with classmates in new and exciting ways. The focus of the retreat—faith, friendship, and fun—was woven into every part of the experience. Students participated in team-building activities, group devotionals, and lakeside relaxation. Some even tried their hand at fishing and horseback riding!

Evening worship and reflection time provided space to pause, give thanks, and look ahead with hope. Whether sharing laughter during meals, cheering each other on during games, or simply spending quiet moments together, students built deeper connections and lasting memories.

The retreat was the perfect blend of celebration and reflection. It strengthened friendships, nurtured spiritual growth, and gave students a renewed sense of community as they prepare to take their next steps into high school. As always, the Rocking Horse Ranch retreat served as a joyful and meaningful send-off into the next chapter of the LuHi journey—one filled with promise, purpose, and continued faith.
