9th Grade Retreat: Building Bonds and Making Memories at Camp DeWolfe
Last week, our 9th graders had an incredible experience at Camp DeWolfe in Wading River during their annual retreat. The retreat provided a unique opportunity for students to step away from the usual classroom routine and connect with classmates and teachers in a relaxed, fun, and meaningful environment.
Throughout the retreat, students participated in a variety of activities designed to foster teamwork, self-reflection, and community. From small- to large-group challenges, and engaging games, every moment encouraged collaboration, problem-solving, and laughter. Beyond the activities, students also took part in worship and devotion, creating moments of reflection and spiritual growth together.
Teachers and upperclassmen served as chaperones, supporting students every step of the way and helping guide meaningful discussions while ensuring the weekend was filled with fun and positive experiences. Whether cheering each other on during games, sharing stories around the campfire, or exploring the beautiful surroundings of Camp DeWolfe, students created lasting memories. They strengthened bonds that will carry throughout the school year.

The 9th-grade retreat was more than just a getaway—it was a chance to grow as individuals and as a community. We’re proud of our students for embracing the experience and making the most of every activity, laugh, and moment together.
