Long Island’s premier golf outing, the LuHi Open & Awards Dinner brings together friends, alumni, and partners for a meaningful day of community, camaraderie, and celebration in support of our mission.
This year’s LuHi Open, held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, was filled with powerful moments of connection, celebration, and impact. Guests enjoyed a beautiful day on the green at Brookville Country Club followed by an inspiring Rev. Ed Visscher Awards Dinner — a special evening honoring three distinguished members of the LuHi family:

Bid-for-Kids XL Auction Gala
Each fall, the LuHi community gathers for an evening of purpose, generosity, and unforgettable fun at the Bid-for-Kids Auction Gala—our largest fundraiser of the year. This cherished tradition is LuHi’s largest fundraiser of the year and supports programs and campus enhancements that directly benefit our students.
The 2024 Bid-for-Kids XL Auction Gala: Reach for the Stars was held at the Jericho Terrace in Mineola. We are immensely grateful for the generosity of our donors, sponsors, Auction Chairs, Donielle Welti, Eleanor McKay, and Theresa Ross, and bidders who helped make this event a tremendous success.
This year’s Bid-for-Kids XLI, themed The LuHi Issue: VOGUE, will be held on Friday, November 14, 2025, at Jericho Terrace. Guests will step into a night of style and sparkle, bidding on exciting auction items, enjoying gourmet dining, and celebrating the power of community. This year we will honor Thomas Holcomb, Alumni Parent & Former Board member, with the 2025 Pro Deo et Schola Award.

In January 2024, we honored Paul and Jana Homer with the Pro Deo et Schola (For God and School) Award for their extraordinary service and dedication to LuHi and the broader community. Their unwavering support has helped drive the success of our Rise.Shine. Campaign, culminating in the opening of the New Classroom Wing in September 2024.
