Last night, LuHi joyfully hosted its first Academic Evening since before Covid! After navigating the challenges of the pandemic and years of campus construction, it was refreshing and exciting to once again welcome students and families into our hallways and classrooms to celebrate the amazing work happening every day at LuHi.

The evening began in the main hallway, where families enjoyed a special preview of the upcoming Fine Arts Festival, scheduled for Sunday, May 18. Stunning Visual Arts displays lined the hallway, leading guests to a beautiful live performance by our combined Middle and High School Chamber Orchestra. The music set the perfect tone for an evening centered around creativity, learning, and community spirit.

From there, families ventured into the main academic wing, where each classroom offered a glimpse into the vibrant learning experiences happening across all disciplines. Guests saw the progression of writing development in English classes across grade levels, engaged with demonstrations of scientific concepts in Biology, Chemistry, and Physics, and discovered real-world applications of mathematical ideas. World Languages classrooms showcased impressive project-based learning displays, while Social Studies rooms invited families to dive deep into key historical concepts and student-driven projects.

In the Ammerman Gym, the Middle School Science Fair was a hub of excitement and innovation. Students proudly presented their experiments and findings, and the evening included special recognition of top projects. Congratulations to all of our middle school scientists, and a special shout-out to those whose projects will now advance to LuHi’s inaugural Dr. Audrey Hebling Science Fair!

Thank you to all the students, families, and faculty members who made Academic Evening a wonderful success. We are so proud of the dedication, creativity, and passion on display—and we look forward to many more opportunities to celebrate learning together!
