Crusaders Shine at the 43rd Annual David Sorensen Memorial Wrestling Tournament
On Saturday, January 18th, LuHi Varsity Wrestling proudly hosted the 43rd Annual David Sorensen Memorial Tournament. This long-standing tradition brought together 16 public and private high schools from across the Tri-State area, delivering a high level of competition in both JV and Varsity tournaments. Wrestlers battled through an intense day, with most athletes competing in four to six matches, showcasing their skill, determination, and sportsmanship.
The Crusaders put forth a strong performance, earning multiple spots on the awards stand. With a mix of seasoned athletes and first-year wrestlers, the team strategically participated in both JV and Varsity competitions, maximizing individual growth and experience.

With these impressive results, the Crusaders now set their sights on the NYSAIS State Championships this Saturday, February 8th. This marks the beginning of the postseason, leading up to the National Qualifier and the prestigious US National Preps Tournament in late February.
