Education: University of New Haven (2005), Legal Studies
What I love about my role: I love the diversity within my program, where I am able to work with people internationally and assist with integrating into the American culture. I enjoy seeing the students progress with their language skills, daily living skills, and their overall ability to adapt and embrace the culture.
Other professional experience: I worked for F.R.E.E, a non profit organization that assist individuals with physical and mental disabilities. I was a manager of a group home that housed these individuals.
Hobbies: Traveling, reading, and arts & crafts
What I love most about LuHi: As an alum, I’m able to share my experiences which help me to relate to the students. I feel at home.

LuHi Role: Middle School Foundations of English Teacher and International Students Advisor, joined the LuHi staff in 2016
Education: Hofstra University, Masters of Science in Education
What I love about my role: Supporting LuHi international students’ transitional experience has been one of the most beautiful highlights in my career. Being able to help and witness our international students grow, get involved in American and LuHi culture, and succeed in LuHi community has been the most rewarding accomplishment I’ve achieved in my position.
Hobbies: Painting, traveling and learning new cultures, writing
What I love about LuHi: Campus culture (family) and Christian love. I also love the diversity in student body at LuHi.

Ms. Jillian Ramirez
LuHi Role: Residential Counselor for Long Island Boarding, joined the staff in 2020.
Education: Stony Brook University, BA in Psychology
What I love about my role: My favorite part about my position is the diversity within the program; I get to learn more about different cultures, customs, and languages every day through my students.
Hobbies: Drawing, roller skating, and taste testing!
What I love about LuHi: I love the sense of community, and the motivation I receive and see from the staff and students.
