Welcome to Your Second Home at LuHi
Long Island Boarding offers international students a chance to attend LuHi and benefit from the nurturing setting of a school-managed dormitory. Teachers and staff at LuHi are dedicated to equipping international students for the challenges of high school and preparing them for the rigors of college.
LuHi’s boarding program is located on LIU Post’s beautiful campus in Greenvale, NY, providing our students with an amazing pre-college experience.
Living on LIU Post Campus
LuHi boarding students live in secure, single-gender double rooms on LIU Post’s beautiful gated campus—just a quick 5-minute drive from LuHi. Rooms are fully furnished with an extra-long twin bed, desk, chair, and wardrobe, and students use key-card and code access for safety. Around-the-clock adult supervision ensures a supportive environment, and the proximity to both LuHi and New York City offers the perfect balance of structure and exploration. It’s a true “home away from home” that fosters independence while keeping students connected.

Academic & Personal Support
Boarding students benefit from the same rigorous academics and individualized attention that define the LuHi experience, with added layers of structure and support in their daily routines. Residential staff and LuHi counselors work closely with each student to help them succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. Students have dedicated quiet spaces to study on campus, including the library and lounges, making it easy to focus on their learning. This combination of challenge and care sets them up for success in high school and beyond.
Daily Life & Beyond
Life on LIU Post’s campus offers endless opportunities for connection and enrichment. Students can unwind in the Hillwood Commons, play in the Esports Lounge, work out at the Fitness Center, or take in a performance at the Tilles Center for the Performing Arts. Meal options are varied and plentiful—ranging from Starbucks and Subway to Asian cuisine and campus cafés—ensuring every student finds a taste of home. Weekends often bring group activities, trips into New York City, or time to simply relax with friends.
