Jordyn ’26 Drives in Four as Crusaders Defeat Solomon Schechter 19–6
The Long Island Lutheran Varsity Crusaders powered their way to a dominant 19–6 victory over Solomon Schechter on Tuesday, led by a standout performance from Jordyn Boubert, who drove in four runs on two hits—including an inside-the-park grand slam in the second inning.
Solomon Schechter opened the scoring in the top of the first with an RBI single, but the Crusaders answered quickly. In the bottom of the first, Terri Bess was hit by a pitch, bringing in the tying run and setting the tone for a high-energy offensive showing.

The Crusaders surged ahead in the third inning when Boubert stole home, followed by an RBI single down the left field line from Emily Butera. From there, Long Island Lutheran never looked back, stringing together consistent hits and aggressive base running.
Boubert not only made her mark at the plate but also led the way in the circle. She pitched five innings, giving up seven hits and six runs (five earned), while striking out five and walking three.
The offense was firing on all cylinders, racking up 16 hits. Shayna Argentina led the team, going 3-for-4. Bess, Patricia McClean, Butera, Kaitlyn Lozano, and Jayla Romilus each recorded multiple hits. On the bases, the Crusaders were unstoppable, swiping nine stolen bases—with Argentina, Boubert, and Butera each stealing more than one.
The team also collected four stolen bases and played clean defense, committing no errors throughout the game. Up next, the Crusaders hit the road to take on Staten Island Academy this Thursday.
