LuHi Celebrates World Languages Week
We’re wrapping our annual World Languages Week celebration! Here at LuHi, we used the week of March 14-18 to honor and celebrate cultures and languages. Our World Languages department, as well as our World Languages Honor Society, planned and executed a week that included the following:
*Students participated in the Long Island Language Teachers World Language poster contest, with the theme “Building Bridges to Understanding.”
*We had a traveling art exhibit showcase the work of Antonio Gaudi and Henri Rousseau, and classes integrated the exhibit into their coursework this week.
*Our World Language Honor Society students sold Pulsera bracelets, and our students prayed the Lord’s Prayer in English, Spanish, Greek and French during chapel.
*Our co-curricular clubs also met to celebrate the week. The Middle School Languages and Culture Club, and the High School French and Spanish Clubs, had various activities
*The movie Encanto was shown after school on Friday, 3/18, to wrap up the week!
