LuHi Open 2024

The LuHi Open on June 20th, held at Brookville Country Club, was a day that many eagerly anticipated. It was a sunny day and the excitement was palpable from the very start. The winning best-ball team played an exceptional game, finishing with an impressive score of 13 under par.

The highlight of the day came early in the round. Cheers and applause erupted around the course as Head of School John Buck achieved the incredible feat of a hole-in-one. The excitement didn’t end there – his outstanding shot earned him a coveted 2025 Super Bowl package!

At dinner, our guests were treated to exciting updates on the Rise.Shine. Campaign and the much-anticipated wing renovations. The night culminated with honoring incredible members of the LuHi Family with the prestigious 2024 Rev. Ed Visscher Award.
Our first honoree, Jason Zubatkin, with his firm Zubatkin Owner Representation, played a crucial role in guiding our school through the recent master planning process. His expertise has been invaluable in developing a strategic plan that will provide an optimal environment for the distinctive LuHi experience, ensuring our students’ growth and learning for decades to come. Jason’s dedication and vision have set a strong foundation for our future.

As a dynamic married couple, Christine Lobardo ‘00 and Christopher Prokopowicz ‘00 have been engaged alumni for many years. Grateful for their own transformative LuHi experiences, they established a scholarship fund in memory of Christine’s parents to support current students. Their unwavering commitment shines through their involvement in events, and campaign support, setting a shining example of how giving back can make a lasting impact.

We extend our deepest gratitude to everyone who joined us for a wonderful day of golf, celebrated our remarkable honorees, and supported our students at LuHi. Your presence and contributions are what make our community so special, and together, we are creating a brighter future for generations to come.
