LuHi Golf Outing 2021

Alumni, parents, alum parents and friends of the school all gathered at Brookville Country Club for an incredible day of fellowship and spirited golfing.

During dinner, two special couples were honored with the Rev. Ed Visscher Award, given to people who work to make a difference in the lives of children. Adriann and Bill Nelson are good friends of the school who used a tragic life event to transform the automobile industry. Through their 14 year dedication and alliance with Kids and Cars, in 2018 they were able to see their work go into effect when legislation passed to make a backup camera standard in every vehicle. Stacie and Jeffery Reid, current LuHi parents and special friends of the LuHi, work tirelessly for students at LuHi and in their communities. Through his position on the Soul2Soul Board of Directors, Jeffery works to improve the lives of youth by using mediums like film to help them reach their full potential. Stacie has committed her career to the world of education and now helps students through her position as the Director of Guidance for Uniondale School District.  As LuHi parents, they run concessions at home boys basketball games, and Stacie is a warm and welcoming volunteer at LuHi Open. Both couples show amazing love and compassion not only for their own children, but all children by their tireless and compassionate work.

Early numbers have the amount raised at over $10,000 more than last year. We are grateful for the extraordinary support of so many and look forward to seeing everyone on June 16, 2022.
