LuHi Students Explore Careers in Law at Women in Law Program
Today, several LuHi high schoolers had the incredible opportunity to attend the 2nd Annual Women in Law program, hosted by the Women’s Bar Association of Nassau County at the Nassau County Supreme Court. This event gave students a behind-the-scenes look at the many paths a career in law can take, from court officers to judgeships.
A huge thank you to LuHi alum parent Joy Bunch, Esq. for helping spearhead the event and ensuring that our students had the chance to learn from such an inspiring panel of professionals.
Students came away with several key takeaways: the importance of networking, the value of standing up for yourself, the need to be ready to pivot when things don’t go as planned, and the importance of keeping options open for the future. Experiences like this continue to empower young women at LuHi to explore careers and develop confidence in their own abilities.
